I had a brief cup of coffee with a larger agency and for the last 7 years have been the Systems Manager at SJI, a children’s clothing manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer, where I head up IT for the corporate office and 70+ retail locations nationwide. I’m moving back towards the marketing side as the social strategist. The marketing side is a lot more fun. I’m not even sure how I ended up in IT. I’m also heavily involved with cloud computing software. From running multiple domains/organizations on Google Apps to helping to develop and implement SaaS Point of Sale software called RICS Enterprise Recently became a Certified Inbound Marketing Professional. Not sure that gets me anything, but there it is. I’m also playing around in another venture called hangdowns. A side deal that allows for more exploring in social media than SJI does. I wish people, businesses, organizations, schools, neighborhoods…everybody…would learn how to use the web better.
